Lone worker training is aimed at all staff who themselves work in isolation or without close or direct contact with their colleagues or without direct supervision. It is also suitable for persons placed in vulnerable circumstances as a result of their every day work activities.

Course Objectives

  • To make participants aware of the problems associated with lone working
  • To identify potential hazards related to lone working
  • To understand the legal aspects, responsibilities and the assessment process, using the principles of Risk Assessment
  • To be able to discuss the restrictions relating to lone working with line managers or direct supervisors
  • To understand the principles of safe lone working and safe systems of work.
